Sea Level Rise Explorer

Elkhorn Slough contains the 3rd largest extent of salt marsh in California and supports extraordinary biodiversity. This low lying area is extremely vulnerable to flooding, including several miles of Highway 1. This experience illustrates potential flooding impacts and proposed solutions to restore the marsh and protect this important transportation corridor from climate change.
